City Permit Path is the public name for Development Services Hub (DSH), municipal software for permits, reviews, inspections, licensing, and code enforcement. This page covers how we handle information in the hosted Hub at citypermitpath.com.
Staff account data
Staff accounts typically include a display name, work email, role, city (tenant) membership, and an optional mobile number. Sign-in uses the city’s Microsoft Entra account (or another configured identity). We use this data to run the workspace: access, assignment, audit history, and notices.
Mobile numbers and SMS
If a staff member or city administrator saves a mobile number, we store it as phone_e164. That value is used only to send transactional assignment texts through Azure Communication Services. We do not sell phone numbers, do not rent them, and do not use them for advertising. Staff who leave the field blank do not receive SMS.
How to add or remove a number is described on the SMS opt-in page.
Public applications
Residents can submit permit or complaint applications on the public apply pages. That intake is for city processing. It is separate from staff assignment SMS.
Processors
Hosting and messaging run on Microsoft Azure (including Azure Communication Services for email and SMS). We use those services to operate the product, not to sell contact lists.
Contact
Questions about this notice or about a staff mobile number: use the contact form on citypermitpath.com. City staff can also ask their Hub administrator to clear a number.
